Assisi – The humble countryside of Umbria houses the beautiful town of Assisi. Here is the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order. The town has many chapels and churches filled with frescoes, which illustrate St. Francis’s life. During your time here, appreciate these places of worship and take in a breath of fresh country air.
Montepulciano – A medieval and Renaissance town that is tucked away in the southern region of Tuscany. Montepulciano is one of the largest producers of food and drink, from pork, cheese and pici pasta, to its world famous wine. Connoisseurs flock from across the world to this culinary town to savour the flavours of Italy.
Florence – One could hardly forget about the cradle of the Renaissance. The “Historic Centre of Florence” was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982. Filled with numerous art galleries and museums, Forbes ranks Florence as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Art and architecture enthusiasts cannot afford to miss such a magnificent city.
Pisa – Situated in central Italy, this city is the famous home of The Leaning Tower of Pisa. During your stay, why not take a playful picture of yourself holding up the tower? The city has much to offer with over 20 other churches, medieval palaces and many lovely bridges over the Arno River. Be sure to take the time to explore the pedestrian only old city!
Rome – As the saying goes, “All roads lead to Rome” and what is a trip to Italy without visiting the capital city? You will fall under Rome’s charm with the many fountains, churches, palaces and villas. As a fan of history and architecture, there is no shortage here. From the Trevi Fountain to the Spanish Steps, this city is an architectural paradise. “When in Rome!”
