Canadians anywhere in the country—including those in rural and remote areas—who are living with cancer can now access an exercise program specifically tailored to their needs. Called EXCEL (Exercise for Cancer to Enhance Living), the virtual program is offered through the University of Calgary’s Health and Wellness Lab.
No physician’s referral needed: just contact EXCEL and a team of exercise physiologists will screen you to determine whether you need medical clearance before joining.
The goal is to “help those with cancer to move from surviving to thriving.”
