Experience the Best of the Emerald Isle

Advertorial – The ground may be white in Canada, but it’s green in Ireland! Emerald green to be exact. As we’re suffering through the heaviest months of the Canadian winter, the thought of lush green fields, sweeping coastlines, quaint villages and warm local pubs is certainly inviting. Anticipating a journey to this enchanting destination is a terrific way to get you through the icy cold winter, and with St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, the upcoming festivities are sure to inspire. Due to the overwhelming popularity of this itinerary, we are offering four trips throughout the spring and fall seasons, with departures in May, June and two in September.

With its rich culture, fascinating history, dramatic landscapes and friendly people, Ireland is not an island to be rushed through. This trip is planned at a leisurely pace, staying mostly two or three nights in each of our carefully selected hotels. On most days, two hearty meals are included and there is no shortage of delicious dishes to choose from. From a traditional Irish breakfast in the morning to a hearty bowl of stew or shepherd’s pie for dinner, the Irish certainly understand the true meaning of comfort food. When we’re not discovering the incredible natural sites, our ample downtime allows for you to explore the local shops or visit the neighbourhood pubs and enjoy a pint of Guinness. It’s during these intimate, everyday moments that you’ll encounter the heart of Ireland: the Irish people.

Our itinerary is a true circumnavigation of the Emerald Isle, taking us to the north, south, east and west, as we explore the very best that Ireland has to offer. From historic Belfast, we travel north to the beautiful Glens of Antrim with their rolling hills and dramatic views of the sea. Along the way, we have time to see The Giants Causeway, one of Ireland’s most famous sites. Its towering basalt columns are a natural wonder with fantastic lore of giants that you must see and hear in person to appreciate. We traverse the island in a counter-clockwise direction bringing us to the west coast. The rugged beauty is showcased by the spectacular landscapes and scenery of the Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle Peninsula and the inspiring Ring of Kerry.

Our journey ends with three nights in the beautiful city of Dublin, which is said to be as intimate as a village and as friendly as a pub! Each day will provide us with new and novel opportunities, not only to experience all of the sites, but also get to know the Irish people, who are some of the most friendly and welcoming in the world. Ireland’s heritage is not limited to just its museums and galleries – it’s alive in the stories, songs and traditions we’ll encounter across the island. With a far-reaching itinerary including nights spent in several other towns along the way, prepare to enjoy a comprehensive overview of the best that Ireland has to offer.
