Face it, folks—we Canadians are hot

Canada is the sixth best country in the world when it comes to dating, according to the World Dating Report 2020.

Compiled by Senior Dating Advice, a dating website for seniors in the United Kingdom, the list takes into account five attributes—friendliness, fun, sexiness, trustworthiness, and approachability. On that basis, Brazil took first place followed by (in order) Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. The top five worst countries for dating were Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria.

Single Canadians have a lot of opportunities when it comes to meeting other singles. Online dating has becoming increasingly popular across the country, with many websites targeted at specific groups, including those over 50. While dating websites can make dating a lot easier, it’s important to be safe and not provide too much personal information before you meet someone in person and get to know them.

Senior Dating Advice compiled data from the 2018 U.S. News & World Report, which surveyed more than 16,000 citizens across 60 countries on the best countries in which to date, and the 2010 OnePoll survey, which questioned 15,000 women of 20 nationalities about the best and worst male lovers based on country.
